What is the difference between a Primary, Secondary & Submark Logo?A primary logo is the main identifying mark for your business. It is the foundation for a brand's visual identity usually consisting of the brand colours and typography. A primary logo is best used for website headers, collateral and main business signage. A secondary logo is a simplified version of your primary logo arranged in a different composition. This logo can be used when the primary logo doesn't fit or feel right in a chosen context. A submark is a simplified version of your primary and secondary logo. It is usually a stand alone icon. Eg. If your primary logo is let's say.... 'Frankie Hair' your submark may be a 'FH' initial design or a hair icon. A submark is best used for, social media profile pictures, website favicons, website footers, email signatures and watermarks.

How do you get started with my project? As a very broad generalisation, my design process starts with these steps; A phone consultation will be arranged to discuss project specifics. I will provide you with a quote prior to starting your branding project. Once the quote has been accepted, I'll be in touch with you to conduct more specific creative research about you, your business/product/service and your design preferences and requirements. A 50% non-refundable deposit is to be paid prior to the commencement of project. Your project will then be booked into my schedule - with your input also I will provide you with your first round of designs - these designs will be based around initial information you have provided me with. You will provide me with your first round of feedback. I then make revisions based on this feedback (revision amount depends on package chosen) Once you have approved final designs, I will prepare the final files for delivery. The remaining amount of the invoice must be made before final files are delivered. Your files will be emailed to you via a Dropbox link.

The packages listed on my website are a starting point in helping you to decide what might be best to kick start your business, however I offer more services outside of these packages. Please contact me to discuss the services you may like and I can provide you with a rough price guide.

I have a logo I created on Canva, can you make a few changes to it?This is a big no no. Whilst I think Canva is an amazing platform in creating a variety of print and digital graphics easily, it is not ideal for designing logos. Canva is not a vector based program like Adobe Illustrator meaning the design cannot be scaled to any size, beyond what it's already set at, without losing resolution/quality. This means I cannot make changes to your design.
